La radicalité extatique de la nuance
’GRANDE NUE BRAS LEVÉS’, A FINE AND RARE MOLDED GLASS SCULPTURE
BY RENE LALIQUE, MODEL INTRODUCED IN 1921
This impressive design in a neoclassical style, depicting a woman making an offering to god, is considered to be ’top of the line’ of Lalique’s statues. Designs of this size required a lengthy and complex cooling process, which lasted as long as twelve hours, in order to prevent fissure.
